What gets collected
Things you give me: your email when you subscribe, messages you send through forms or chat, and anything you post publicly in comments.
Things collected automatically: IP address, browser/device details, approximate location, pages viewed, referring links, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and email opens or clicks.
How it gets used
To run and secure the site, reply to you, send posts you asked for, understand what people read, prevent spam, improve the experience, and measure or serve advertising.
I do not sell a mailing list. If that ever changes, this policy changes first.
Services involved
- WordPress.com, Jetpack, and Automattic host the site and may handle stats, subscriptions, likes, security, cookies, and email delivery.
- Google may provide analytics, advertising, Search Console, and embedded services.
- hCaptcha checks forms for bots and abuse.
- WordPress AI chat processes what you type in order to answer you. Don’t put sensitive personal information in the chat.
- YouTube, Apple Music, Feature.fm, and other linked platforms apply their own policies when you visit or interact with them.
Your choices
Use the unsubscribe link in any email. Control or delete cookies in your browser. Adjust ad preferences through Google. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information I control; I may need to verify the request and may retain information when legally required.
Data is kept only as long as it is useful for the purposes above, required for security, or required by law.
Kids and international visitors
This site is not directed to children under 13. Services may process information in the United States or other countries where their systems operate.
Site terms
The writing, music, artwork, and original site materials belong to Jake Freudinger unless credited otherwise. Personal sharing with a link is welcome; copying, republishing, scraping, or selling the work is not.
